Prebiotics

Inulin, a prebiotic, aids in the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream.

In Deli Fresh formulas, we include inulin, also called chicory root, a prebiotic which benefits dogs and humans by stimulating the growth of Bifidobacterium, a good bacteria, in the large intestine. While prebiotics support the growth of good bacteria, they cannot be used by bad bacteria. As the good bacteria are strengthened and the bad bacteria are weakened more nutrition is absorbed by the dog’s body, promoting better health.
